The Saudade Urn holds a portion of adult ashes (up to 1.2 kg). It is ideal for families who are sharing ashes across family members, or who wish to keep a meaningful portion at home.

Each Saudade Urn is handmade and personalised in my home studio on the Gold Coast, Australia. 

The usual turnaround time is 6–8 weeks, depending on current order volume and the level of custom detail requested.

Because each Saudade Urn is a deeply personal and intuitive piece, I do not offer a formal design approval process before creation.

I sit with the photos and details you share, feel your loved one’s presence, and allow the artwork to flow naturally — this is part of what makes each urn truly one-of-a-kind.

You are welcome to share meaningful preferences (colours, symbols, words, themes), and I will honour those details carefully. However, the final design is guided by my artistic process.

To date, I have not received any returns, and families consistently tell me the urn feels deeply aligned and full of presence :)

Yes. Each Saudade Urn is a secure ceramic vessel designed to safely hold ashes at home as a meaningful keepsake.

The lid is designed to also function as a small vase, allowing families to place flowers or cuttings as a living tribute.

If you would like to fully seal the lid to the urn, you can apply a small amount of clear shower sealing gel/silicone (available from most hardware or homeware stores). This sealing product is not included with the Saudade Urn.
